Spanish Football Spanish Boss Wants To Play The Copa America

President of the Spanish Football Federation, Angel Maria Villar risk of conflict with the country clubs, after announcing Tuesday that he wants the Spanish national team to participate in the Copa America this summer.

The world champions have been invited to participate in the contest to be held between May 1 and July 24 in Argentina.

"We received a proposal to play the Copa America," Villar has confirmed his visit to Catalonia. Spain is an invitation to come late to a result of Japan, who had been invited, because of the earthquake devastated by the cancellation of the March.

Spain has close ties with Latin America due to its colonial past and a common language shared with countries like Argentina, Uruguay, Peru and Chile, among others.

"We have been invited on several occasions and it is something that the Spanish football owes to South America," said Villar.

"I am in favor of Spain for the tournament, is something that we have to look with affection, because the huge number of large South American players, who were in Spain. I consider it a great honor to be invited, and I will take the proposal to the leaders' he insisted.

Villar is in favor of bringing the Spanish national team in South America, but his proposal is opposed to the Spanish club, who were concerned about the players in danger of extinction.

World Cup last year made the Spanish international has not started their vacation until July 12 and some are beginning to look tired as the season comes to an end. If playing in the Copa America this summer, it is difficult to see how it could recover physically after a long season.

Until the summer of 2012 is almost certain to see Spain play in the European Championship final, which means that the best players in the country would face a serious risk of collapse.
