Situated 7 km south of the capital of the province (Castellón de la Plana) to 42 m above sea level, has 51 367 inhabitants (2010 data), most of whom live in urban areas, which cover about 10, 72% of the 55.4 km2 County. Classification of the population, is the second city of the province (following equity), and tenth in the Community of Valencia.
